I have a question about teens and the law?

If your teen has to speak to the prosecutor and the DA, by law, can the parent insist on being present in the room while questioning her (14) becuase she will not have repensentation, like a lawyer? If a teen has to make the final statement and it the one that counts for pressing charges or not.
