I would like to know if they can hold an old record of 10 yrs. ago for not hiring they were felonchargesbut?

I have a friend that had old charges from 2000ult,, 2001,larison, 2004 which was a dui .All charges were dismissed . He was told at he Cherokee Hard Rock Casio that they couldn't hire because. They were not convictions. Help
