My router is not secure.?

I recently bought a Wireless-G Broadband Router (Model- WRT54G2) and installed it without a hitch. However, when configuring the security portion, I inputed the data. I chose the WPA Personal setting. When looking over settings, the Cisco Network Magic states that the Wireless Network is secure, however I am monitoring it with my phone as well and it shows that it is an open network allowing access to anyone. Does anyone think they can offer some aid?
